Standalone solar powered surveillance systems

Remote or temporary installations will not always have a ready supply of electricity to hand.  We can offer a range of components that can be adapted to provide for a wide range of conditions.  These components can be used with the entire Mobotix IP camera range and the external versions of Axis IP cameras including their thermal and Pan Tilt Zoom (PTZ) IP cameras.  

Individual components

All components are designed to be easy install.  

Base unit - Pole mounted IP66 lockable cabinet to house rechargeable batteries and other electronics (NextG/3G router, input/output relays, up to 256GB of on board storage, POE injectors, wireless network bridges, access points or point to point links). 

Mains charger - external charger plugged directly into the base unit to recharge batteries.

Communications equipment - Industrial NextG/3G modems or wireless link devices. 

Solar panel kits - regulators and panels (120W) plugged directly into the base unit to trickle charge the batteries.

Batteries - small form factor rechargeable Lithium-ion batteries.  Multiple batteries are used to enable them to be lifted individually.

Mounting system - ratchet pole mounting bracket systems for easier fastening in difficult situations.  Separate tool kits available for mounting.  Easy to dismantle and resituate.

Standalone solar IP camera surveillance system

Solar powered systems are available as individual components to be mounted on your own pole or building or as complete system.

Batteries and electronics can be kept in a pole mounted base unit or stored in a secure foot cabinet.  Poles can be secured to permanent footings or concrete blocks for mobility. 

Multiple camera systems and PTZ cameras will require larger battery pools.

Mobile IP camera surveillance system

Fully charged base unit systems can run a camera for up to three days providing an ideal solution for limited time events or catching reoccuring criminal activities.  These system can also be hired.
